Based in our Boise, ID Office


General:

This position will be focused on designing and maintaining custom software applications to meet the specific goals of Gestalt.

The Intern must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced office environment in meeting continual project deadlines.  The Intern must be able to handle multiple priorities in a busy office with constant interruptions.  Organization is essential in order to meet project deadlines. A sense of urgency, the ability to make good decisions, and the prioritization of tasks is necessary.


Responsibilities:

  • Manages and assigns tasks for all active application development projects.
  • Generates project plans for all assigned development projects.
  • Informs Manager of all active project/tasks status (risks and completion).
  • Participates in and facilitates project design sessions.
  • Maintains quality assurance processes.
  • Manages assigned software development projects.       
  • Analyzes and designs software applications.                                                     
  • Programs, tests, and deploys software applications.                                           
  • Provides application training and documentation.                                                                     
  • Researches and analyzes new technologies as related to project needs.   
  • Assists in the implementation and support of developed applications.
  • Facilitates product release to support staff.



Qualifications: 

  • Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent experience (in progress)
  • Experience:  Junior-level “core” software development classes
  • Knowledge:
  • Front End: React, Angular, ASP.Net, Javascript
  • Services: C#, Node.js, .Net
  • Database: SQL Server, MongoDb, PostgresSQL
  • Test Frameworks: Jest, Enzyme, Moq, nUnit
  • Source Control: git, Azure DevOps
  • DevOps : Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernates
  • Design Patterns
  • Self-starter, ability to troubleshoot problems and recommend quality solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols and interface communication procedures
  • Proven ability to design and document projects
  • Enterprise-grade software development experience with Microsoft & Open Source tools
