Job Description – Cloud Services Engineer

General:

To design and maintain software products to meet the specific goals of Gestalt Diagnostics. The Cloud Services Engineer must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced office environment in meeting continual project deadlines. The Cloud Services Engineer must be able to handle multiple priorities in a busy office with constant interruptions. Organization is essential in order to meet project deadlines. A sense of urgency, the ability to make good decisions, and the prioritization of tasks is necessary.

Description of Duties:

  • Manages cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms.
  • Ensures security of cloud and related products
  • Programming for cloud connect products
  • Performs pro-active security updates to all cloud-facing clients
  • Assists in new client on-boarding and configuration
  • Provides cloud assistance and input for all Gestalt projects
  • Generates project plans for all assigned development projects.
  • Informs Manager of all active project/tasks status (risks and completion).
  • Participates and facilitates project design sessions.
  • Maintains quality assurance processes.
  • Manages assigned software development projects.
  • Analyzes and designs software applications.
  • Programs, tests and deploys software applications
  • Provides application training and documentation.
  • Researches and analyzes new technologies as related to project needs.
  • Assists in implementation and support of developed applications
  • Facilitates product release to support staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Performs other duties as required by displaying team spirit and self-growth, accepting and performing other projects and responsibilities, and requesting other projects and responsibilities.
  • Follows all Health and Safety policies and guidelines of Inland Imaging and its partners depending on work location.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • There is minimal supervisory responsibility in this position.

Qualifications

Education:Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience

Experience: Six years of related experience including:

  • Three years of AWS and Azure management
  • Three years of application development/architecture required
  • Backend: Serverless, JS, Typescript, NestJS, Node, .Net, C#
  • Frontend: React, AngularJS, Typescript, Material UI
  • Scripting: CMD, bash, PowerShell
  • Webservers: IIS, NGINX, Caddy
  • Tools: Postman
  • Database: Postgres, MS SQL Server, DynamoDB/No-SQL
  • OS: Linux, Windows
  • Concepts: Cybersecurity, Microservices, Distributed systems, RESTful services, Design patterns, Virtual Infrastructure
  • DevOps: Docker, Git, CI/CD automation, Packer
  • Strong advocate of Agile/SCRUM
  • Strong understanding of database design, management
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols and interface communication procedures
  • Proven ability to research and recommend tools, design high performing platforms and document projects
  • Enterprise grade software development experience with Microsoft & Open Source tools

Software Developer rate of pay as determined by current pay levels.
